Flight Simulator™ V6.0 (Flight Simulator for Windows 95) ONLY ...

You may find it also useful to check the section on Flight Simulator™ 'Classic' V6.0 (Flight Simulator for Windows 95) if you are having trouble installing the Australia Scenery Vol.2 package.

Peak Interact International have developed the following two patches to upgrade the initial release version of 'Australian Scenery Vol. 1'. Please note that they are only designed for the 'Microsoft Flight Simulator™ V6.0' version of the Aussie scenery. The 'Flight Simulator™ V5.1' version of the Aussie scenery does not require updating, & these patches must not be used for V5.1 scenery.

Do you need the upgrade? Look at the under (silver) side of your 'Australian Scenery Vol. 1' CD-ROM. If 'ML-DISK 577' is printed on the inner hub (& you have Flight Simulator™ V6.0 already installed), then you have the initial release & you would benefit greatly from the upgrade patch. If 'ML-DISK 733 PII V1.01C' (or later) is printed on the inner hub, then you already have the upgraded version & you do not require any of the following upgrade patches.

NB: Please note that if you also have the Australia Scenery Vol.2 package, then the special combined & updated Vol_101.exe patch can be found in the root directory of that CDROM. It should be used in preference to either of the following patches, providing that as per the above 'Do you need the upgrade?' text, indicates that you require a patch. This will also save you the time of having to download the following files from our website.

PII_101c.exe (4.92 Mb) - The complete upgrade patch. Includes an adjustment to the runway at 'Bankstown NSW' to alleviate a discrepancy in the world database of the 'Microsoft® Flight Simulator™ V6.0'. Also includes our air traffic control adventures converted to run on V6.0, plus all the new .WAV voice files required to run these adventures on V6.0, & the 'Flight Shop™ converter patch. V6.0 users no longer need 'Flight Shop™ ' to run the adventures that we have included. Download the file to a temporary directory & then double click or run this application, it is self extracting so you do not need any unzipped software. Read the file 'Readme1c.txt' & follow the installation directions.

PII_101a.exe (0.98 Mb) - This is an abbreviated patch that only has the adjustment to the runway at 'Bankstown NSW' to alleviate a discrepancy in the world database of the 'Microsoft® Flight Simulator™ V6.0'. We recommended that you download the PII_101c.exe patch instead, which will take longer but has significantly greater benefit. If you only want the abbreviated patch, then download the file to a temporary directory & then double click or run this application, it is self extracting so you do not need any unzipping software. Read the file 'Readme1a.txt' & follow the installation directions.
